Bridal Blog; Growing Our Own Florals
Here we are.
Welcome to another episode of:
Samm Thinks She Can Do Everything
I’ll start by saying that I had no intention of doing this when I started this whole wedding planning process, but when you’re a college graduated millennial, funds are sometimes tighter than the skinny jeans we are wore in 2009. So, that’s half of why I’m doing this. The other half is because I was feeling R E A L confident in my gardening skills after harvesting the rest of my vegetables.
Our wedding is being planning for October 2020, but I wanted a practice year under my belt before I went total flower farmer. I think the best part about flowers is that they are beautiful fresh and dried. So with this practice year I have been drying the blooms to still be used as decor next year.
Obviously our flower growth next year will depend on how much rainfall we receive. And even if it all goes downhill and none of my flowers grow, it’s about the marriage not the wedding.
