Festival Season is right around the corner, Coachella being just about two weeks away. Back in February I created this dark, glittery festival-goer look. I wanted to keep it smokey and I added silver glitter liner on the lid to create dimension and add a touch of sparkle. I will always recommend a smokey for a festival, the reason being that, in my opinion, the smokey eye becomes better with time. Many awesome, colorful and liner-heavy looks have a hard time staying on all day and night through the sweaty, oily, and humid air of the festival scene. So think ahead! Try to wear minimal, stay-proof/water-proof products & don't forget the setting spray.
Most importantly, before any festival or any outdoor excursion be sure to start your skin with an SPF 30+ sunscreen or moisturizer. Model is wearing a light wash of @RCMAmakeup foundation in the shades SH - 1 & 2. Setting the foundation with @KristoferBuckle Power Lock spray and dusting @AnastasiaBeverlyHills 'Golden Bronze' & 'Dripping in Gold' illuminators. Blushed with @MorpheBrushes 9N Blush palette. Cheekbones are carved with ABH 'Mink' foundation stick & sharpened with @LauraMercier translucent powder.
Keeping the eyebrows very wispy, natural, but dark my favorite product of the moment is @LashFood 'Dark Brunette' Brow Gel-fix and using ABH 'Chocolate' Pro Brow Powder.
@Maccosmetics 'Soft Ochre' paint pot to prime the eyelids. Blending ABH shadows 'Burnt Orange' & 'Fudge' with a @SmithCosmetics 230 & 232 brushes. On a flat brush I layered 'Noir' by ABH and used a 247 brush by Smith Cosmetics to blend the black shadow in to the crease. Layering sporadically 'Glam Rock' glitter liner from Urban Decay on the center of the lids and blending with a minuscule, damp sponge. Lastly blending those upper lid shadows into the lower lash line and adding a silver reflecting shadow to highlight the inner corner. Jessica is wearing @EylureOfficial 'Grand Glamour' lashes.
Keeping the look simple with a nude lip, Jessica is wearing 'Natural' lip liner by @nyxcosmetics & @BiteBeauty Agave lip balm topped with ABH 'Dripping in Gold' illuminator. Once more everything is set in place with the Power Lock spray by @KristoferBuckle.
For photographic purposes Jessica is wearing more powder-based makeup, I would personally choose for lightweight, creme products if I were attending a festival. Powdered makeup can crack and flake throughout the day but creme is not as drying on the skin and if needed can be easily blended back into place .
Finishing off the look with flowers, layered jewelry, and a strappy bralette. A huge thank you to my model @jsesica for already having the accessories and being so awesome to work with. Happy Festival Season!
