In The Limelight
Created: 14 March 2017
Fashion Week has been happening around the globe for the past several weeks and I always love the bold makeup found on the runways. I wanted to create a flat, blue lid inspired by the @AnnaSui show this past February, the look created for her models was stunning. It was more structured, in that I wanted to fluff and blend my shadows instead of having clean edges. Her model's wore a deep, brick red color. I chose to keep my lips lightweight, glossy, and vibrant to complete my look.
On the S K I N: To Hydrate & Prime I chose first @RMSBEAUTY Beauty Oil to hydrate and add a healthy glow. @TarteCosmetics Marine Boosting Spray & @SmashboxCosmetics Primer Water. Bouncing @UrbanDecayCosmetics All Nighter Foundation (shade 1.5) on a @RealTechniques Diamond Sponge all over the face. This foundation is V E R Y high-coverage even with a damp sponge and I love every second of it. Using the @katvondbeauty 'White Out' concealer to highlight under my eyes, down my nose, and the chin. This concealer is also very full-coverage, I wanted the focus to be only eyes in lips, I purposely kept the face without too much definition.
For a little depth I added blushes from the @MorpheBrushes 9N palette and some of @AnastasiaBeverlyHIlls 'Marshmallow' illuminator (which is white but reflects gold; truly amazing). Setting everything, like always, with the UD All Nighter Spritzzz.
MyB R O W S: are a mess and I blame the fact that I misplaced my brow gel and recently threw my other in the garbage, but such is life. But I am wearing ABH's 'Caramel' Dip Brow Pomade, applied with a @SmithCosmetics 203 Micro Angle Brush.
On the E Y E S: To prime I usually smear @MACCosmetics all over the lid, it's been one of my favorite products to use as an eyeshadow base over the past several months. Using Smith brushes 232 & 247 I solely used 'Chaos' from the UD Electric Palette. This key to this look is a damp brush and layering. I carefully placed some blue on the lower lash line, being careful to just line to eye.
I've been obsessed with neons lately, I'm anxious for anything brightly colored and spring-like. I did not want to pair any lashes with this look originally, not even mascara, because I wanted the blue to be the feature of the look. But I chose to paint an old pair of 'Grand Glamour' lashes by @EylureOfficial with @SuvaBeauty Hyrda Liner 'Dance Party.' Again, layering and patience is essential. I think the two colors pair nicely and balance well with the lips.
On the P O U T: ABH Lip Palette shades 7, Primary 3 & 12 in the center, buffed out with a small pencil brush. Mixing Primary 1 and KVD Beauty 'White Out' concealer and buffing the edges of the lips. Topped with a @nyxcosmetics clear gloss.
I've been wanting to create this berry-stained lip for a while, but never found the right look to pair it with. I think the innocence of the berry color mixed with the gloss balances the bold, electric eye. Aspire to inspire, I hope you enjoyed this look!
